Kilian Martin teams up with Juan Rayos to show off his impressive skating in another beautifully filmed piece, “Stationpark”. The video is set in an old train station which, though abandoned, still possesses the remnants of beautiful architecture. As sunlight pours through the windows, Kilian Martin pulls stunt after stunt on his skateboard, his feet rarely touching the floor. Martin’s unique style, which combines typical skating tricks with freestyle footwork, is complimented by Rayos’ neat camera work. Rayos keeps the production simple, using the natural sunlight to create striking shadows, and letting the squeak of the wheels and clatter of the board become the soundtrack. Rayos even captures Martin’s rare mistakes, reminding us just how difficult his effortless moves are.
